Professional Experience

George A. Hieronymus, Jr. became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in May 1963. He was employed as a staff accountant with a large local firm from September 1960 to January 1972 when he became a partner. In July 1987, he formed George A. Hieronymus and Company and managed that firm until its merger with Hudson, Gaillard and Jones in January 1999. Throughout his career, and particularly since 1974, he has been significantly involved in matters pertinent to small business and individual taxation. He has closely followed the evolution of subchapter S and partnership entities since 1974. He has substantial background with timber clients, their taxation, and related gift and estate taxation and planning.
